Parents' Right to Inquire

As a parent of a District Five student, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the teachers and instructional assistants who instruct your child.

Professional qualifications include:

*Licensing criteria for the grade/level subject area in which the instruction is provided
*The baccalaureate degree major
*Graduate certification or degree held and the field of discipline of the certification
*The qualifications of teacher assistants, if applicable

Parents wishing to inquire about the qualifications of their child's teacher or instructional assistant should submit a written request to the school principal.  All inquiries will be limited to the qualifications listed above.
